What are Anabolic Steroids?

Class II steroids will also bind to AR but only slightly, and sometimes not at all. These steroids inhibit the direct affect that glucocorticoids have on all muscle tissue.
In other words, they prevent glucocorticoids from increasing your glutamine synthetase, which would cause muscle tissue to start breaking down. This is called an anti-catabolic activity. It's the reason why steroids work so well in treating osteroperosis, which it does by inhibiting glucocorticoids.
It needs to be noted that some steroids will work using the AR as well as non-AR mechanisms. Science can now prove that anabolic steroids will increase the retention of potassium, sodium, nitrogen, phosphorous, and chloride.
What Names are there for Anabolic Steroids?
There are many different products and street names for certain steroids that get broken down to create a street name, like Dianabol or D-bol for the chemical name of methandrostenolone. Or the veterinary chemical product called Reforvit-B having a street name like Reffie-B etc.
