Androxon

Description

Androxon is used for testosterone replacement therapy in male hypogonadal disorders. The active substance is testosterone undecanoate, a fatty acid ester of the natural androgen testosterone. Testosterone undecanoate is able to bypass the liver via the lymphatic system and is therefore orally active. Therapy with Androxon increases plasma levels of testosterone and its active metabolites.

Side Effects

Stomach upset, headache or acne may occur. Other side effects include increased hair growth on the face or body, anxiety, change in sex drive, sleeplessness, muscle aches, increased urination and depression. Males may experience enlargement of breasts and an increase in the frequency and duration of erections. Skin rash, dark urine, pale stools, yellowing of the eyes or skin, muscle aches, vomiting, swelling hands or feet, difficult urination, breathing trouble.
